In addition to offering consultancy Computime are also an installer for the CW2000 project in Coventry www.cw2000.co.uk . The CW2000 project is a strategic initiative helping small businesses in Coventry and Warwickshire with the use of broadband technologies. The first phase of this initiative, which ended in 2001, was instrumental in accelerating the availability of ADSL and wireless broadband in Coventry & Warwickshire.
Working with public and private sector partners, CW2000 Phase I served to give the sub-region an edge in early access to affordable broadband ? then in its very early days in the UK.
A second phase of CW2000 has now started to move beyond simply access, to exploitation. Phase 2 is directed at helping companies exploit the commercial value of broadband. This focus provides a consistent driver for multiple activities, all of which have a common imperative ? the need to provide demonstrable value and a return on investment.
