John Dixon, the Managing director of Computime has been involved in the fund raising for the Coventry Hospice for over 10 years.

" I got involved after my first wife died of Cancer in 1995. We found that the facilities at Walsgrave Hospital was limited to care for her later stages of the disease, and as local Coventry people, she was not keen on going to Myton Hospice in Leamington, due to the distance. Following a number of meeting with the Cancer Unit at Walsgrave, and the local health authority, we set up a charity called the Sue and John Dixon Charitable Trust. Since then we have raised over £50,000, towards the £7,000,000 that is required. We are now at a stage where the unit has been built on the old Walsgrave Site, and they are now fitting it out, for an opening in 2009".
